Help us celebrate 50 years of the NH Union Leader Santa Fund for The Salvation Army! Fifty years of community partnership, and 50 years of helping local families have a brighter holiday season. Tickets are $35 each or a table of 10 for $300.
Here are a few ways you might want to help us celebrate:
Attend the Santa Fund Kick-Off Luncheon: Join us Friday, November 20th, at noon at the Radisson in Manchester to officially kick-off our 50th!
Place an Thank-You Ad: Show your support of the Santa Fund and say thanks to The Salvation Army for all they do by taking out an ad in the Santa Fund Luncheon program book. Pricing is $50 for a quarter-page ad.
Create a Gift Basket: A variety of gift baskets will be on display and auctioned off at this year's Santa Fund Luncheon and other locations. Contact Kate at kate.ferreira@unh.edu for more information.
Organize a fundraiser: We've seen all sorts of fundraisers from individuals, community groups and businesses, looking for ways to support the Santa Fund - school penny drives, corporate "jeans days", car shows, golf tournaments, raffles and holiday parties. If you would like to organize an event or campaign, contact Teresa at TRobinson@UnionLeader.com and we'll do our best to help you raise awareness and make it a success.
Make a Donation: The Santa Fund collects funds all year long. As always, donors have the opportunity to include a message to be published in the Union Leader along with their donation. Donations of $1,000 or more will be recognized with a photo and message in the Union Leader. Donations can be sent to: Union Leader Santa Fund, PO Box 9555, Manchester, NH 03109 or on-line www.UnionLeader.com/SantaFund

YOUTH MINISTER/OUTREACH COORDINATOR
After months of careful search throughout The Army World, The Manchester Salvation Army has successfully hired Lee Morest as our Youth Minister/Outreach Coordinator.
Raised in the Seacoast region, young Lee left in 1994 to join the Marines. During this time, he also pursued his calling to ministry, when, in 2000, he returned home to attend Gordon College in Massachusetts where he received his BA in Biblical Theology Studies with a concentration in Jewish Studies.
After serving most recently at The Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters in Atlanta, Lee returns "home" to renew hands on work with youth and teens in Manchester.
"I have worked with every age group in different settings and with kids from all kinds of varying backgrounds and home life. In more ways than one it is a wonderful reminder of my first love," Lee says, "I am absolutely thrilled to be here and feel so blessed to be able to serve the Manchester community in this capacity."
Major Greg states he is "truly excited to have Lee join the Pastoral team at The Salvation Army, helping us to reach into the minds and hearts of our hundreds of young people and teens. For them to know the love of God personally, can be life changing for these kids."
If you would like to contact Lee, call 627-7013 e218 or Lee.Morest@USE.SalvationArmy.org
