Each year, hundreds of families and seniors are referred to The Salvation Army for the Adopt-a-Family program. It is one of the key programs that we have each Christmas to help those who otherwise would not receive Christmas gifts.
Through this program, generous sponsors are paired with a family or senior in need. The sponsoring individual, family or group purchases and wraps presents for the family or senior, and drops them off at our Christmas distribution center.
Adopting a family or senior is a very rewarding and fun experience. It's a great activity at Christmas for a family, church group or group of co-workers. It serves as a wonderful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas -- giving to others -- and can be a great example to younger children and teens of the importance of sharing with others.
If you would like to participate as an Adopt-a-Family/Senior sponsor this year, please review the materials attached at the bottom of this page. There is a Sponsor Application form (with return instructions on the form), a "Sponorship 101" document to explain the program, and a letter of greeting from the Sponsor Coordinator.
If, after reviewing the attached materials, you would like to speak with someone about the program, please contact Deanna Powell, coordinator, at 513-762-5600, or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Blessings to you this Christmas season!
