The Salvation Army Of Northeast Ohio
Strength For Today, Hope For Tomorrow
The Salvation Army is driven by it's Christian faith to provide social services to those in need. The Army provides a variety of local programs, ranging from religious services to family counseling, day-care centers, youth activities and general programs. Today, the Army's religious and social-service activities serve thousands of people in over 36 counties around Ohio.
Together we can make a difference in Northeast Ohio. With your help, The Salvation Army will continue assisting those who are homeless, abused or disadvantaged in pursuit of its goals: serving the most people, meeting the most needs,
"DOING THE MOST GOOD!"
Throughout America and the world, you can find The Salvation Army working to serve people in need everyday, regardless of age, race, creed, religion or sexual orientation.
The Salvation Army has been blessed to serve the people of Northeast Ohio because of the generous support of our donors, volunteers, and community advocates. Through the recent economic challenges, your support has enabled us to continue to serve our neighbors in need 365 days a year.
THE SALVATION ARMY FINDS NEW OPPORTUNITIES
TO SERVE GREATER CLEVELAND IN 2014 : Following an extensive two-year long study, The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland has developed a strategic plan to expand service to the less fortunate in Cleveland. The progressive plan includes relocating the services and programs at The Salvation Army Hough Corps located at 6000 Hough Ave. Cleveland, OH to The Salvation Army Superior Corps located at 9000 Superior Ave. Cleveland, OH. This transition will occur in stages over the next two months. Based on research and direction from community leaders and donors, The Salvation Army will realign resources and reposition ourselves to have the greatest impact in the lives of the disadvantaged in Cuyahoga County.
Major Lurlene Johnson, Divisional Secretary of The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland says “By making these changes, The Salvation Army will realign it’s resources to areas of greater need. We are not leaving our clients or communities un-served or underserved.”
The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland will continue to serve those who need us most in the battle against hunger, homelessness and more and we will do so in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
