Program Services
Gentle Arms of Jesus - Young Parent Residential Program
Gentle Arms is our residential program to assist teen mothers and their children who become displaced. We provide a safe home environment for the teens and their children, and a supportive group setting where they can develop their abilities and share their experiences. Through Gentle Arms, the young mothers receive instructions in parenting and life skills so they can become better parents and their young families have a brighter future.
All participating mothers work or attend school and are referred through the Department of Children and Families or Transitional Assistance. Gentle Arms has received recognition from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Emergency Assistance/Social Services
Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am - 11:30 am. Each person is given individual attention during the process of intake, evaluation, and case management. After an assessment of need, family qualifications and program requirements, assistance may be given in areas such as:
  • Utility assistance through the Good Neighbor Energy Fund
  • Food pantry

Camp Wonderland Camperships - Seasonal Program
Each summer, we provide 50 children in the Greater Fall River Community with an opportunity to attend our overnight summer camp in Sharon, Massachusetts. Camp Wonderland is a fully-licensed and accredited camp that offers affordable, one-week vacations to children whose families may otherwise not be able to send their child to camp.
We give kids a chance to enjoy a summer vacation where they can experience nature, make new friends, and develop new talents all in a safe and supportive environment. Activities include pontoon boat rides, swimming in the lake, arts & crafts, music education, sporting activities, games, and Bible Study. The Salvation Army in Fall River provides transportation to and from the camp.
Camperships for our Fall River Corps are subsidized but there is limited space.  Registration for camp begins in late March or early April.
