DOING THE MOST GOOD TO SUPPORT FAMILIES.
Christmas is the most visible time for The Salvation Army as the
Red Kettles are out in full-force. The funds raised between
Thanksgiving and Christmas allow us to operate our 29 services throughout the year.
As the holidays can bring much joy and volunteer spirit, they can also bring added financial
and emotional stress for families in need.
Consequently, we offer a variety of services to
help families and
individuals through two holiday toy and food programs:
Christmas Cheer and Adopt-a-Family.
In order to facilitate serving the 8,000 plus families over the holidays, we rely on our
trusted volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please contact volunteer coordinator
Dinah O'Dell at358-2627 or Dinah.firstname.lastname@example.org
"It makes me feel really good that The Salvation Army can help me whenever I need it, because
everybody needs help sometimes," says Natashia Smith, who sought help at The Salvation Army
when she was a teen mother raising her son on her own, with few resources.
