Sleep-away, Week-long Summer Christian Camp
at
Long Point Camp, Penn Yan, NY

KidsAtCampSign

Summer camp is a 'dream come true' for those who would not  normally have an opportunity to attend any camp at  all. Children are selected based on a variety of need factors.

This camp targets children with a need and helps to open their  eyes and expose them to nature, sports, music, Bible study, art  and crafts, swimming, boating, hiking, and other activities for  school-aged youngsters in our community.

Summer camp teaches children new skills, healthy attitudes, and  great values.  For many youngsters, it is a chance of a lifetime, a  door opening onto new horizons.

Each summer we aim to send 40 children/teens, ages 6-12 years from Columbia County to experience the joy attending sleep-away Summer Camp sponsored by the Salvation Army and run by Christian staff members.  These children are sent by the Hudson Service Center thanks to a number of sponsorships and various fundraisers.

CampKidsAtPuttPuttThese are children that would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend such camps.

A donation from you or your organization will change a life forever. Click above to link to the site directly.

Applications are available at the Service Center starting in April and invitations are evaluated based on need.  If you know a child who is interested or could benefit from this opportunity, please contact the Hudson Salvation Army at 518-822-1602 for an application.  The deadline to receive applications is June 19.
