The Salvation Army in Suffolk County held its 51st Annual Golf Outing on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Island Hills Golf Club in Sayville, NY.

Honorees at this year's event were Capital One Bank; Karin M. Caro, President, Blu Chip Marketing; and Anthony Pellegrino, Owner, Windows on the Lake.

The day began with registration and breakfast at 9 AM, followed by a shotgun start at 10:30 AM. Everyone enjoyed a BBQ lunch on the golf course, and everyone had the opportunity to win a two-year lease on either a Hyundai Sonata, courtesy of Atlantic Hyundai, or a Ford Escape, courtesy of Newins Ford, by making a hole-in-one on either of two specially designated holes during their round of golf.

After golfing, participants enjoyed the awards dinner, at which this year's honorees were recognized. The dinner also featured a Chinese Auction and Silent Auction. Funds raised from the day supported Salvation Army youth programs, including summer camp.
