Meet Our Fitness Staff

Sometimes stepping up to a new fitness lifestyle can be uncomfortable. Our job as fitness specialists is to make you feel good about your workouts. And to do that we feel that knowing your personal trainer can go a long way to trusting your fitness plan. Our staff of fitness professionals are eager to get you started on the perfect (and most comfortable!) fitness plan for you.

SHAVONNE
Fitness Manager

  • School: Pennsylvania State University
  • Degrees: B.S Kinesiology (Fitness Studies) with a dance minor
  • Certifications: AEA Aquatic Fitness Professional certification, Heartsaver CPR/AED
  • Area of Expertise: Dance Fitness and training, Group Exercise, Youth Fitness and Performing Arts
  • Experience: Over 5 years
  • How do you motivate your clients?: I am a very hands on trainer. I verbally push them through their workouts and at times will physically join them for some extra motivation. I give constant reminders of the goals they are working towards. Pain won't last forever, however, no pain, no gain.
  • Favorite Activities: Dancing, Sleeping and watching Law & Order SVU Marathons.
  • Favorite Food: Pasta Pasta and more Pasta!...and fruit too

  • Certifications: ACSM Personal Trainer, CPR, AED, and First Aid
  • Area of Expertise: Weight-Loss, Muscle Hypertrophy, and Strength Conditioning

  • How do you motivate your clients?: Exercise Variation
  • Favorite Activities: I enjoy exercise, web browsing, and playing video-games when I can squeeze in time.

  • Experience: Over 4 years in Sports Performance and Personal Training
  • How do you motivate your clients?: I motivate my clients by making fun and progressively challenging workouts. I challenge them to go beyond their self imposed limitations so they can reach their goals.

  • Experience: Over 3 years
  • How do you motivate your clients?: I like to create a fun atmosphere for my clients so that they do not feel like they are working out but at the same time getting a really great intense workout. I also like to be creative with my workouts so that the clients never get bored or feel like they are doing the same exercises all the time.

  • Degrees: B.S. Kinesiology (Exercise Science) B.S. Exercise Science and Health Promotion/Concentration in Sports Science and a minor in Spanish
  • Certifications: CPR, AED, First Aid
  • Experience: 2 years
  • How do you motivate your clients?: I like to motivate my clients by getting to know them and their fitness goals. I incorporate challenging and creative exercises to keep them excited about working out. I trust that hard work will pay off!
  • Favorite Activities: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, going to the beach and relaxing while watching a good movie.
  • Favorite Food: : I’ll have to say Mofongo con Camarones, it’s a Spanish dish that is just divine.
