Aquatics Instructor

Schedule: Full Time / Part Time - Must be willing and able to work weekends and evenings as will be required in performance of duties or as requested to support the ongoing operations of The Salvation Army Kroc Center.

Position Description: The Aquatics Instructor provides swimming lessons for individuals of all ages and instructional levels. Additionally, this function assures the safe utilization of all aquatic areas by Kroc Center members and guests. The use of superior customer service in providing oversight of these areas is required. Must be able to be flexible in support of the Kroc Center team in all areas of center operation, as needed and assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED, or enrolled in a program designed to result in such achievement required. WSI and lifeguard certification required. 3-5 years teaching experience preferred (all levels). Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills required. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English; proficiency in oral and written communication skills. Must have ability to work and relate well with people. Must have an appreciation for and be able to embrace the Mission of The Salvation Army.
