Will & Estate Planning

INTRODUCTION

The Salvation Army appreciates the generous support of all its contributors.  For many, not only do they provide support to us throughout their lives, in the form of both financial and time commitments, but they also remember The Salvation Army when they plan their estates and create their wills.

However, it is not simply enough to make a bequest that simple reads "To The Salvation Army of Lexington..." as there is no such entity or organization legally recognized by that name.  Simply including the language stated above will not direct your gift to The Salvation Army operations in Lexington.

Therefore, to ensure that your gift is allocated as you desire, please contact our Development Coordinator Bruce Manor for the proper bequest language consistent with your legacy goals, so we can ensure that your generosity benefits The Salvation Army's service to the local community.

We recommend that when you choose to make a planned gift to The Salvation Army in Central Kentucky that you consult with your professional financial advisor or attorney. We will be happy to provide information and work with your advisor or attorney to complete
your gift.
