Norwich Chamber Gives Back to Community

Auto Show Funds Go To Deserving Local Non-Profits

NORWICH - Organizers of the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce's Auto Show held a presentation ceremony on March 13 at Chamber Headquarters on Main Street to present almost $2,500 to six deserving local charities. Ellis and Grasso Technical High Schools, The Salvation Army, Norwich Arts Center, St. Vincent de Paul Place, and Center for Hospice Care Southeast Connecticut were among the recipients of his year's awards. Norwich Corps Officer Captain Jerry Uttley attended the ceremony and accepted the check on behalf of The Salvation Army.

Captain Jerry commented, "The Chamber and its members are so good to us. They are dedicated supporters of the needs of the local community and are always looking for ways to give back. The Auto Show is a highlight of the year! It is one of the best in Connecticut and when you meet the people that run it, you can understand why. I thank the show organizers, the awards committee, and all of the Chamber members for their help. We are truly blessed to have them as our friends."
