Visiting the West Haven VA Medical Center

WEST HAVEN - The Salvation Army in Greater New Haven, which just provided 275 families with gift cards for Thanksgiving meals, recently visited the VA Connecticut Healthcare System: West Haven Medical Center, to honor the veterans and wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. Socks and walker caddies were distributed as The Salvation Army met with over 200 veterans. Once this Salvation Army kicks off its kettle season next Tuesday, plans are already in place to visit this same center and seven other nursing homes and veterans hospitals to spread more holiday cheer in early December.
