Released 6 August 2012
Krispy Kreme® Doughnuts and The Salvation Army are partnering to help
prepare local students for the upcoming school year by collecting school
supplies during their 2012 “Stuff the Bus” campaign. The
campaign’s goal is to help ease the cost of school supplies for parents
that come with the start of school each year.
Beginning
today, the “Stuff the Bus” campaign will run through September
9th. All types of school supplies are needed, and supporters are asked to
help by dropping off new items at the Krispy Kreme doughnut shops located at
7401 Peach Street in Erie and the Washington store on 14 Trinity Point
Drive.
As a sweet reward, supporters will receive one FREE
Original Glazed® doughnut for a single school supply item donation, and one
FREE Original Glazed® dozen for each donation of a backpack that has school
supplies inside. Suggested items include notebooks, binders, pens,
pencils, scissors, hand sanitizer, etc. The supplies will be given to The
Salvation Army Worship and Service Centers in those communities.
