The
Salvation Army has been aiding in relief efforts in Southern Indiana since the
deadly tornadoes tore through last week.
|
With multiple feeding units placed in Henryville, Marysville and New
Pekin, Indiana, The Salvation Army has been able to serve thousands of meals
each day to victims and first responders.
The “Hoosiers” have really come through supporting The Salvation
Army tornado relief efforts. More than $350,000 was raised in three days to
help survivors! Local news stations have set up drive-thru donation sites with
100% of money raised goes to relief work with the survivors.
Mobile feeding units will continue to be in place for the next
several weeks. Within one week, the next phase of The Salvation Army’s
response will begin. This will include clean-up and emergency financial
assistance for families as well as continued social service assistance to storm
survivors in Ripley County.
Monetary donations are the most critical need as supplies and
personnel are mobilized.
The
quickest and easiest way to support the efforts of The
Salvation Army as they serve victims is to make a monetary donation. You can
make a donation online

1-800-SAL-ARMY, or make a $10.00 donation by texting
