Programs & Services

    Community Care Food Ministries

The Community Care Food Ministry provides weekly food to assist local families who have a self-declared need for supplies. Food is distributed Monday 11am-noon; Wednesday 5pm-6pm and Friday 3pm-4pm. Participants are asked to arrive, sign-in and wait patiently as participants are served in order of arrival. Participants are also asked to bring their own bags with which to carry their products. This project is under the direction Salvation Army Advisory Board Members Robert McKay and Holly Means with several dedicated community volunteers. Generous donations of food and supplies are received from WalMart, Aldi, Giant Eagle and SaveALot. This project is sponsored by The Salvation Army DuBois; Second Harvest and Feeding America. Questions, please call Patty at 814-371-5320.

    Emergency Food Pantry

This emergency assistance program is available during regular Corp operation hours. Generous donations from a small state grant, the Salvation Army DuBois, and generous community donations allow individuals who have an emergency need to request assistance from the Corp. 2013 Schedule

Catch Your Breath Family-Style Supper Club
provides opportunity for children and adults to enjoy a meal together as well as family fun through table games, learning activities, service projects, and a devotional time around a supper table. Parents are encouraged to come, but it's not required. Children who attend without parents are seated along with the other adults and children in a family style setting. Sharing together in this way gives everyone who attends an opportunity to slow down (Catch Your Breath) and be/receive a blessing!  All are welcome!  Contact: Major Robin @ 371-5320  ext. 101

    Adult Bible Study

Tuesdays 5:15 pm  - Weekly time to study God's Word and learn practical applications of the Bible's teachings. Also a time of spiritual encouragement through prayer for the needs of individuals, families, and our community.

    Women’s Home League

Tuesdays 6:30 pm - Inaugurated in 1907, ia fellowship group designed to influence women in the creation and development of Christian standards in personal home life. Its motto is from the Bible: "I will live a pure life in my house" (Psalm 101:2b, Good News Bible). While the Home League's demographic profile has been altered by modern lifestyles in Western countries, as more and more women have entered the work force on a full-time basis, the groups continue to provide community and a sense of belonging to many women in many countries. Meetings are themed according to a four-fold purpose of Worship, Service, Fellowship, and Education.
    The Men’s Fellowship Club
Tuesdays 6:30 pm – program offers an opportunity for building friendships, participate in Christian fellowship and develop a spirit of camaraderie. Members are encouraged to take in interest in their communities with club service projects and the humanitarian efforts of The Salvation Army and other community organizations.
