Services For The Entire Community

A community comprised of stronger individuals is a stronger community. The Ashland Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center strives to build a stronger community through individualized services, care, and attention. Available services foster work and life skills development, educational enrichment, and spiritual and physical wellness. Crucial and highly personalized training for parenting skills, substance abuse awareness and rehabilitation, transition from homelessness, and other services are available.

The Social Service Ministry provides a compassionate and realistic response to families and individuals in crisis. Persons applying need to be below 200% of the federal poverty guideline (approximately $40,000 for a family of four). Exceptions will be made to this guideline only when extreme circumstances exist. Appointments are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Persons applying are asked to bring the following:

- Photo ID,
- Social Security numbers for each family member,
- Proof of household income,
- Proof of address,
- Persons must be residents of Ashland County.

Each head of household must complete and sign and intake form. During the one-on-one interview with the emergency assistance case manager, solutions to the underlying cause of the crisis are addressed through referrals and advocacy. It is our goal to achieve long term solutions to problems in order to enhance family stability.
