You are in: Augusta, Maine Salvation Army Advisory Board
The Salvation Army Advisory Board is a vital part of the ministry team.
As the name implies, the volunteers who serve on the board lend the expertise they bring to the Officers in Charge so that they can together meet the needs of the local community.
Our members bring a wide variety of professional skills, from accountants to lawyers pastors from other churches, real estate, restaurants and the list goes on. The Advisory Board brings a sense of continuity to the mission of the local Salvation Army as they work and live in the community and know the strengths as well as the weaknesses of the area.
Board membership requires a minimum three year commitment and a willingness to serve on at least one committee requiring two meetings a month as well as hands on participation in a number of community events and programs through the year.
