Holidays provide a sense of joy and tradition. Especially during hard times, acknowledging holiday customs can provide a sense of relief and peace for individuals and families.
Because of this, The Salvation Army endeavors to spread hope not only year-round, but especially during significant holidays.
Each year we meet with families to help them with Christmas toys, food baskets, and holiday meals. If you are in need of our assistance this year, please contact our office at 941-2990.
Christmas applications will be taken on October 13 and 27 during business hours and October 20 from 4-7. All inquiries can be directed to Thea Day at Thea.Day@use.salvationarmy.org or by calling our office at 207-941-2990
The Christmas meal will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2015
And don't forget to volunteer. The holidays provide an excellent time for groups, families, or individuals to volunteer to make someone's Christmas a little brighter.
Every year we launch our Red Kettle Campaign which not only helps us provide our much needed services during the holidays, but it helps us to be prepared 365 days a year to meet the needs of the less fortunate in the Greater Bangor area.
