Camp Sebago is located on the western shore of Sebago Lake in Standish, Maine. The rustic cabins are surrounded on three sides by forest, and on the fourth by an extensive shoreline. Each year Camp Sebago enriches the lives of many. Whether a seven year old away from home for the first time, a teenager who spends a summer on staff, or a senior at camp for a weekend retreat, Camp Sebago holds a special place as a lifelong memory.
The overall purpose of camping at Camp Sebago is to care for every aspect of the camper's life. This includes provision for the spiritual, educational, nutritional, social, and recreational needs of campers through creative, healthy experiences in cooperative group living in an outdoor setting. The picturesque surroundings and fun activities, coupled with an emphasis on God's Word can change a life forever.
Activities include hiking, arts and crafts, swimming, boating, outdoor living, nature study, and sports. The summer season consists of seven, weeklong, sessions. The children come to camp from Salvation Army corps and service units throughout Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The main camp program is geared to boys and girls age 7-12. We also offer two weeks of wilderness camp for ages 13-16, which run concurrently with the regular camp program.
