Please text BUFFALO to #80888 to donate $5 to your Buffalo Salvation Army!!
Western New Yorkers donated nearly 3,500 items of winter outerwear items, along with more than $3500 in monetary donations to the M & T Bank Gift of Warmth collection. The Gift of Warmth boxes were in all bank branches and 17 affiliate nursing homes last December. The response to this year's campaign from the Buffalo community has been overwhelming. Last night during The Salvation Army's ministry of service to homeless people on the streets of Buffalo, in addition to the hot, nutritious meal they receive, they were also allowed to choose a hat, gloves or scarf to keep them warm.
