The Salvation Army, along with most nonprofit organizations, needs an outlet in order to reach the public and gain supporters, with the ultimate goal of enhancing our services to those we serve daily. We have come to rely on the support and creativity of special events to help promote our programs and services. Without the ability to reach the community, our organization could not bring awareness of our programs that serve the needy throughout Western New York

The Re-Fashionista Challenge Live Fashion Show and Reception
When: Wednesday, May 1st, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Where: Hotel @ The Lafayette
The Re-Fashionista Challenge is two competitions in one, each offering great prizes and a chance to network with leading 'fashionistas' in Western New York. Purchase clothing at any of our local Salvation Army Family Stores and re-fashion a new ensemble from your new and existing materials. The First Competition will take place as a Facebook Photo Contest for the best BEFORE and AFTER photos of a Re-Fashioned ensemble. The Second Competition will include a Live Fashion Show and Reception on Wednesday, May 1st at the newly redesigned Hotel @ The Lafayette to be judged by expert designer, celebrity, and owner of Anatomy, Ali Eagen, as well as educators in the field of Fashion Design and Merchandising
Red Shield Luncheon

The Salvation Army Annual Red Shield Luncheon is a celebration of the accomplishments and achievements from the past year with a look towards the future work to be done, restoring hope and health to suffering communities.
Village of Williamsville Memorial Day Parade
When: Monday, May 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM
Where: Main Street in the Village of Williamsville
Come watch The Salvation Army as we march in honor of our nation's veterans. The parade starts at Williamsville South High School marching west down Main Street to Los Robles Street.
National Donut Day
When: Friday, June 7, 2013
Enjoy a donut to support The Salvation Army. During wartime, The Salvation Army has inspired the troops through gifts of food, supplies and prayer. Among The Salvation Army's most enduring images is the World War I "Doughnut Girl" who delivered hot coffee and doughnuts to the war-weary troops. The Salvation Army has been ever-present in the wake of all natural disasters and daily in our homeless shelters and food pantries, serving in personal tragedies.
Strike Out Hunger Bowling Event

8th Annual Red Kettle Open Golf Event
When: Monday, September 16, 2013, shotgun start at 8:00am
Where: The Fox Valley Club, 6161 Genesee Street, Lancaster, NY 14086
The 8th Annual Red Kettle Open will be held once again at The Fox Valley Club. The tree lined fairways, strategically placed sand traps and sloping greens, make Fox Valley's 18-hole course the ultimate golf experience. The 6,603-yard course opened in 1992, and features lavish amenities and first class service. Cost is only $500 per foursome to golf this private club's 18 holes and includes a golf cart, breakfast, snacks, BBQ Lunch Buffet, silent auction, and incredible prizes. Golfers can also participate in on-course challenges and a training session with the local pro.
