The Salvation Army is hiring! We are accepting application for the Senior Action Center Program Assistant. We are also seeking two part-time thrift store employees and a part-time maintenance tech. Interested candidates should call 717-249-1411 or e-mail Alma.Riley@USE.salvationarmy.org.

The Salvation Army's New York Staff Band will be performing a concert in celebration of our 100th anniversary on Saturday, April 18th at Otterbein United Methodist Church at 6:30. No admission will be charged for this event...please join us for an evening of fun & fellowship!

The Salvation Army is in partnership with Safe Harbour, Domestic Violence Services, and Carlisle C.A.R.E.S. to alleviate hunger and homelessness in Cumberland County. A 5k to benefit these organizations will be held on May 2, 2015 at beautiful South Middletown Township Park in Boiling Springs. Registration begins at 8:00 and the race will begin at 9:00. Registration is $25 and includes a shirt. To register or for more information, please click here.

May 19, 2015 marks the 100 year anniversary of The Salvation Army providing services to Cumberland County, PA. A celebratory dinner will be held on Friday, May 29th at Dickinson College. The evening will include a silent & live auction, performances by The Salvation Army's dance & drama troupes, and guest speaker Major Colin DeVault from Reading, PA. Tickets for this event are $25. The most basic unit of Salvation Army program services delivery is the Salvation Army Corps. These facilities are our most direct link to the children, teens, adults, and elderly individuals and families within a community.

The Salvation Army Carlisle Corps is located in the heart of historic Carlisle. Majors John and Alma Riley and Captain Mike Davis, the leaders of the corps are called "corps commanding officers." They provide not only administrative leadership but are also the pastors of the center.
