"After the passing of my daughter, I became depressed for a period of 2 years and stopped coming to the Senior Action Center. I am so thankful for Stephanie and Susan who called and encouraged me to return! The people that I have met at the center have become such a huge part of my life. I live alone with just my dog, but my friends at the center have become my family. I am so blessed by this excellent program!"
The Salvation Army Youth Character Building Programs are a holistic Christian education experience for boys in pre-K through 5th grade and girls in pre-K through 12th grade.
There are four distinct components of this program:
Moonbeams (boys and girls in pre-K and kindergarten)
Sunbeams (girls in 1st-5th grades)
Adventure Corps (boys in 1st-5th grades)
Girl Guards (girls in 6th-12th grades)
Through these programs, boys and girls will develop positive social and communication habits, decision making and life skills, and character and leadership skills through a Biblical worldview.
