Liberty Bible Academy to Hold Bake Sale to Benefit Salvation Army Youth Program

Event Hopes to Raise Enough Funds to Provide 200 Recorders for Local Youth

Cincinnati, OH (October 11, 2013) -The Salvation Army in Cincinnati announced today that it will benefit from a bake sale sponsored by Liberty Bible Academy in Mason to provide musical instruments for local youth programs.  The bake sale will take place on Saturday, October 26th, 2013 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am at the Mason-Montgomery WalMart. Proceeds will enable the purchase of recorders to be used by youth participating in after-school programs at area Salvation Army Community Centers.

"We're delighted to partner with The Salvation Army for this benefit," stated Jill Beasley, Public Relations Director at Liberty Bible Academy.  "It's an important part of our educational experience to support the mission of local charitable organizations.  We're pleased that we can demonstrate to our children the importance of helping out other children who are less fortunate."

"We greatly appreciate the efforts of Liberty Bible Academy to walk with us as we serve youth throughout the city," stated Matt Pearce, Development Director at The Salvation Army.  "The Salvation Army has a long heritage of working with youth to shape and positively impact their lives.  But we can't do it alone, and we're so grateful when other groups offer to help us in ways that make a real difference in the lives of the kids we serve."

This year, a children's chorus from Liberty Bible Academy will participate at The Salvation Army's Annual Luncheon, to be held mid-November at Paul Brown Stadium.  The children's chorus will perform a selection of traditional Christmas songs during the luncheon program, and will also perform a finale song in conjunction with Salvation Army after-school program participants.  The recorders purchased from the fundraising event will be presented to The Salvation Army during the Annual Luncheon.

Those wishing to support the efforts of Liberty Bible Academy's bake sale are encouraged to visit the WalMart in Mason, located at 5303 Bowen Dr. in Mason (45040) between 8 am and 11 am on Saturday, October 26th, 2013.
