The Salvation Army Camp Auxiliary Announces "Red Carpet of Fashions" Fundraiser
Annual Fashion Show & Boutique Provides Funds to Benefit Children's Camp
Cincinnati, OH (January 6, 2012) - The Salvation Army Camp SWONEKY Auxiliary today announced plans for their upcoming fundraiser. The annual event, which benefits The Salvation Army's Camp SWONEKY, will be held Monday, April 16th, 2012. The event includes a boutique, fashion show and luncheon. It will be held at the Kenwood Country Club, starting at 10:00 am. This year's theme is "Red Carpet of Fashions." 
"It's a great event to support the children at camp," stated Nancy Brown, co-chair of the Camp Auxiliary fashion show committee. "The Camp Auxiliary has been active for more than 55 years, and we are delighted to be part of helping The Salvation Army serve local children." In more than five decades of service and support, the Camp Auxiliary has provided a tremendous level of resources to improve the facilities at Camp SWONEKY, including cabins and buildings, play equipment, clothing and personal care items for the children, specialized facilities equipment, and much more.
"The Camp Auxiliary is such a blessing to us," stated Capt. Leslie Flanders, Associate Divisional Youth Secretary for The Salvation Army. "We serve more than 1,700 children each year through our camp programs, and the women of the Auxiliary help us immeasurably in this work. Thanks to their support and commitment, the facility is better equipped to ensure that each child who attends has a positive experience."
"Red Carpet of Fashions" will feature a boutique starting at 10:00 am, followed by a fashion show starting at 11:30 am. The fashion show will highlight fashions by Macy's, presented by Laurie Wilson, "Cincinnati's Best Personal Stylist." Luncheon will be served at 12:30 pm. Centerpieces on the tables will feature Salvation Army carolers from the Byers Choice collection (see photo). In addition, one of the boutique vendors, Effler Jewelers, will offer an assortment of the Byers Choice Salvation Army carolers for purchase.
