At The Salvation Army, we offer programs designed to strengthen the whole person. That’s why our After School programs include recreational, spiritual, educational, and arts elements for your children. You and your child can choose activities based on your child’s interests, and you can rest assured that your child is in good hands with our caring staff.
After School Program General Information
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-5:30 PM
Receive homework help & support, and participate in a variety of activities throughout the week! Snack & tasty meals provided, too!
Session 3: January 14 - February 20
Registration begins November 26
Session 4: March 4 - April 10
Registration begins February 18
Session 5: April 22 - May 15

Please note that classes are grade specific.
Dinner will be served each night between 5 PM & 5:30 PM and is free for all enrolled students! Parents & family members of enrolled students may purchase dinner for an additional fee or $1 each on Thursday evenings. Space must be reserved by 5:00 pm on Tuesday.
Who Can Come:
Kindergarten through 8th grade students!
$5 non-refundable processing fee for Members, a $25 for Non-Members, is required for each child and due at time of registration.

Classes include recreational, educational, spiritual, and artistic components. Here at the Kroc Center, we provide a clean, safe, and fun environment that encourages growth and learning!
Life Portal (Grades 6-8)
Gain the confidence you will need to make it through the challenges that lie ahead. Make good decisions as you explore many portals of opportunity. Communicate, create, cooperate, and discover through a variety of physical, technological, and artistic experiences that will transform you into a remarkable and productive young adult. “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are,” (Theodore Roosevelt).
Step Up (Grades 3-5)
Step into an amazing path of creative exploration. Build on individual and team successes and learn to overcome obstacles. Form friendships, develop leadership, and make personal connections with your world. Stretch your imagination, your mind, and your body as we problem solve and play. “Creativity comes from looking for the unexpected and stepping outside your own experience,” (Masaru Ibuka).
Applause (Grades 1-2)
Give applause to your abilities. Join your friends in an amazing frolic through movement, literature, and crafts . Express your Whing-ding-dilly ideas, delight in your curiosities, and have good old giggle-some fun as we build friendships, find truths, and share a burst of positive energy.
Kinder “garden” (must be 5 years old and currently enrolled in kindergarten)
Watch us Grow! Plant the seeds for success by nurturing your skills in reading, writing, math, and computers. Unlock the gates to your imagination and explore the secret garden of books. Learn to express and communicate your thoughts and ideas through speaking, listening, and writing. Watch your spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and cognitive self grow through integrated learning activities and meeting new friends.
