WHO WE ARE
The Easton Corps is a local expression of The Salvation Army worldwide, an assembly of people who have found salvation in Jesus Christ and devoted their lives in worship to God and service to humans. The heart of the Easton Corps is a group of members who consider The Salvation Army their home for worship and service.
Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.
Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human need in His name without discrimination.
WHAT WE DO
-
Our Social Ministries provide emergency assistance, casework services, and life skills counseling to people hurting from want of basic human needs and seeking to establish a more viable life. Emergency assistance includes groceries, travel assistance, utility assistance, clothing and furniture vouchers, and other services.
-
The Learning Zone offers young people support in achieving academic success by providing personalized learning programs, a professionally developed reading center, trained homework guidance, nourishing meals, and recreational activities.
-
Camp Ladore offers young people the opportunity to experience the world in a fresh, exciting, and wholesome way at our 1,500 acre residential camp in the Poconos every summer.
-
Holiday Assistance helps families celebrate a special holiday through the distribution of Thanksgiving food baskets and new children’s Christmas gifts. We also spread Christmas cheer to nursing home and hospital-bound individuals through visitation, caroling, and gift-giving.
Worship with us Sundays at 11am.
