at
Long Point Camp, Penn Yan, NY

KidsAtCampSign

Summer camp is a'dream dome true' for those who would not normally have an opportunity to attend any camp at all.  Children are selected based on a variety of need factors.

This camp functions to help disadvantages girls and boys to open their eyes and expose them to nature, sports, music, Bible study, art and crafts, swimming, boating, hiking, and other activities for school-aged youngsters in our community.

Summer camp teaches children new skills, healthy attitudes, and great values.  For many youngsters, it is a chance of a lifetime, a door opening onto new horizons.

Each summer we aim to send 20 children/teens, ages 6-12 years from Columbia County to experience the joy attending sleep-away Summer Camp sponsored by the Salvation Army and run by Christian staff members.  These children are sent by the Hudson Service Center thanks to a number of sponsorships and various fundraisers.
