THE SALVATION ARMY FINDS NEW OPPORTUNITIES
TO SERVE GREATER CLEVELAND IN 2014
CLEVELAND, OH – Following
an extensive two-year long study, The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland has
developed a strategic plan to expand service to the less fortunate in Cleveland.
The progressive plan includes relocating the services and programs at The
Salvation Army Hough Corps located at 6000 Hough Ave. Cleveland, OH to The
Salvation Army Superior Corps located at 9000 Superior Ave. Cleveland, OH. This transition will occur in stages
next two months. Based on research and direction from community leaders and
donors, The Salvation Army will realign resources and reposition ourselves to
have the greatest impact in the lives of the disadvantaged in Cuyahoga County.
Lurlene Johnson, Divisional Secretary of The Salvation Army of Greater
Cleveland says “By making these changes, The Salvation Army will realign
resources to areas of greater need. We are not leaving our clients or
communities un-served or underserved.”
Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland will continue to serve those who need us
most in the battle against hunger, homelessness and more and we will do so in
the most efficient and cost effective manner.
