CHRISTMAS WISHES GRANTED BY THE SALVATION ARMY

Browns Women’s Organization and Browns Staff will volunteer

CLEVELAND, OH (December 17, 2012) – Nearly 3,000 families including over 7,000 children will have their Christmas wishes come true this week as The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland is set to host their annual Christmas Distribution on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 9am-4pm and on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 10am-6pm. Pre-registered families will pick-up their gifts at the Christmas Distribution Warehouse located at 5207 Grant Avenue Cleveland, OH 44125.

Major Lurlene-Kay Johnson, Divisional Secretary for The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland said “The spirit of giving is alive and well in Greater Cleveland. It warms my heart to put smiles on faces of those who have much bigger worries in life and to show them love this Christmas.”

During Christmas Distribution, eligible families will receive new toys for children age 12 and under, a gift card for holiday groceries, and a winter coat from ‘Coats for Kids’ along with hats and gloves.

Members of Browns Women’s Organization (BWO) and Browns staff will generously donate their time and participate in assisting clients as they pick-up their Christmas goodies. In addition to lending a hand, the Browns will also provide 7,000 Browns hats for kids coming through the distribution to spread holiday cheer.
