Easton and Allentown Back to School Events a Huge Success

b2sMore then 800 children were assisted on Friday, August 28th through our Back-to-School events.  All of these children now have what they need to succeed academically and also received haircuts, pizza and encouragement to do well this school year!
We would like to thank Olympus, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley, the Allentown Kiwanis Club, Talon and PPL for their assistance with our 2015 Back-to-School events.

Allentown Jordan Park Playground Build

The Salvation Army joined other local companies, council members and Mayor Pawlowski in giving back to the commnunity by helping to build a new playground for Allentown's youth.  Read the full story


150th Anniversary Concert a Huge Success!

Hundreds of friends and supporters came together in West Park to celebrate our organizations 150th anniversary where, for the first time in decades, the PenDel Brass and Singers performed in the Lehigh Valley.  They were joined by the Allentown All-City band and Mayor Pawlowski came out to show his support.  Thank you to all involved!CONCERT

PPL Volunteer Challenge

PPL employees took part in the Volunteer Center's Volunteer Challenge and give our homless shelter's family room a facelift.  PPL employees spent their day painting, building bookshelves, providing new toys and books, adding countertops, created a chalboard paint wall and more to make the room more family friendly for the women and children who reside here.

Easton Corps Warming Center

The Easton Corps opened it's doors to the community as a Warming Center for the City of Easton during this extremely cold winter and assisted 279 individuals who had nowhere else to go.  Additionally, our staff spoke one-on-one with each individual in an effort to help them find a permanent solution to their lack of resources. 

Pen Argyl Corps Increases Senior Feeding Program

Due to increased demand and with the assistance of Northampton County, the Pen Argyl Salvation Army has doubled its Senior Feeding Program.  Seniors may now come to the Corps building on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at 12:00 noon for a hot meal and fellowship.  Please join us!

Bethlehem Corps Provides Shelter to the Homeless

In partnership with other churches that belong to the Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering ministry, we provided shelter to nearly 40 homeless individuals in our Corps building every week.  These individuals were provided with a meal and given a place to rest throughout the cold winter.  This program took place from December 1, 2014 and ran through March of 2015.  For more information please visit

Shelter to the Homeless

The Rich Fleming Family Hope Center, a shelter for women and children, continues to provide emergency supports for women and children enduring a time of homelessness.

The Salvation Army Responds to Oklahoma Tornadoes

Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services teams are responding to the deadly tornadoes in the Mid-West. Teams are currently organizing disaster response units to serve hard-hit areas in Central Oklahoma, including Moore and South Oklahoma City.
