RED KETTLE CAMPAIGN

WHAT IS IT?

The Red Kettle Campaign is one of The Salvation Armys' largest fundraisers. In keeping with the over 100 year-old tradition, bell ringers stand at red kettles as a reminder to the community that Sharing is Caring. This year the campaign will run from November 14th through December 24th.

WHAT IS THE MONEY USED FOR?

TOY SHOP

The Salvation Army's Toy Shop is designed to assist needy families with gifts and a food voucher for the holiday dinner.  Through our assistance program, we are able to assure that all children will receive presents to open on Christmas morning and that everyone in the household will be able to share in a special meal that day.

Given that we serve nearly 3,000 children each Christmas, we must buy in large quantities and focus on traditional gifts such as board games, trucks, cars and other toys that have general appeal for each particular age group.  The age group for gifts most needed, range from 11-15 years old.

The Salvation Army Annual Toy Shop, held at the Radisson in Manchester, will be held on Monday, December 23rd.  Donations should be delivered to The Salvation Army on or before Friday, December 20th.
