HOW CAN I HELP?

Donors make all the difference in the lives of the people who come to the Salvation Army. Your generosity helps the Salvation Army provide food, clothing, counseling and support. In addition to monetary donations, the Salvation Army relies on thousands of donations of food, supplies, and furniture to provide support to our clients.

Back To School Program

Our back to school program involves

many local companies, organizations and

individuals who are willing to donate new

backpacks and gift cards for back to school

outfits for students in need. We also supply

area agencies to ensure the most needy

children all across the community will get

backpacks.

Warm Clothing Program

In November, hundreds of volunteers

accompany 400 children shopping for brand

new warm winter clothing. Depending

on their needs, children can literally be

covered from head to toe, from outerwear to

underwear.

Ringing the Bells

Beginning in Mid-November until Christmas,

The Salvation Army personnel can be seen

staffing the Red Kettle in front of local

establishments, collecting bills and pocket

change that will help us with holiday

assistance and serve people's needs well into

the new year.

Senior Citizens Luncheon

Many seniors long for the opportunity

for socialization...and a good meal! Each

Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day, The

Salvation Army and our volunteers provide

a home cooked meal complete with dessert

to some 125 seniors. With live entertainment,

it's wonderful to see memories kindled by the

music, and men & ladies even make their way

to the dance floor!
