Dear Friends of the Salvation Army:

As we settle into an enjoyable Spring, it's hard to believe the ice storm was only 5 months ago. It was a cold, dark period for many of us - lasting for weeks for some. As I hear the stories, I am amazed at how resilient and resourceful the people of New Hampshire are. With each passing day, more lines were repaired and power was restored to so many "in the dark".

That was December, not it is May. Warm days, sunny skies, green grass and trees. Another season - and welcome at that.

We all go through seasons, don't we? Some are wonderfully pleasant and welcoming. Others are more difficult and taxing. And with this economy, we are all facing a challenging season. My thoughts are hopeful though, because no season lasts forever. And, the Salvation Army is here to help those who may be in especially difficult hardship during this "season".

If you, or someone you know is having finanicial difficulties due to a recent job loss or cut in hours, please give us a call. With the success of the Santa Fund last December, we are still in a position to help ease some of the burden. And we want to keep families together during this season.

Reach out, keep the faith, the seasons they do change. And Summers coming...

God Bless You,

Major Greg Hartshorn

Corps Officer/Pastor
