We're In The Business of Changing Lives!
Service to those in need, regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or age, is a fundamental aspect of The Salvation Army's faith. Our social service programs are acts of love inspired by God?s love for all of humanity and God's comfort to those that are suffering.
The Salvation Army is dedicated to caring for the poor, feeding the hungry and educating our youth. We respond to emergencies, shelter the homeless, reunite families, and renew health to addicts. What makes us unique is how we do it. Wholistic service is the goal - to meet physical, social, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs of families and individuals.
The Salvation Army has designed a range of comprehensive social ministries almost as broad as human need. We also partner with churches, charities, and organizations to reach as many people as are practical, believing that even a touch or presence can kindle hope for a better tomorrow.
In 2003 alone, more than 2.7 million people people were assisted by The Salvation Army in Massachusetts. And because "Need knows no season," The Salvation Army continues to work year-round to help families in need.
