Released 26 December 2007

Members of The Army Marathon Team and volunteers will work to gather sponsors/donors for the runners – with a minimum goal of raising $3,000 for each runner.  The event has been very successful in the past, at times raising over $80,000.

With the 2008 Boston Marathon to take place on April 16,   We need to recruit 10 runners by the first week in January since they need lead time to prepare.

Can you run it?  Will you support a runner?
If so, send your information to Carolyn Brunis, Volunteer Coordinator, at
Carolyn.Brunis@use.salvationarmy.org or reach her at 617.542.5420 X 182

Note:  Runners should acknowledge that they are physically fit, can complete the marathon in 6 hours, have properly trained, have been approved by their personal physician to run the marathon distance, and will abide by the rules set forth by the B.A.A rules and regulations.

There is a $200 registration fee due to The Salvation Army by January 28, 2008.
