What We Do

The Salvation Army in Northeast Ohio is dedicated to caring for the poor, restoring broken families, feeding the hungry and educating our youth. We respond to emergencies, shelter the homeless, hurting children, and renew health to addicts. Wholistic service is the goal - to meet physical, social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs of families and individuals. We provide innovative, affirmed and successful programs and services to bring hope, strength and success to people throughout Northeast Ohio.

Our programs exist to serve one another as commanded by the Word of God. We believe in holistic ministry (body, mind and soul) and we believe in the transformation of lives.

The Salvation Army in Northeast Ohio

For More than 135 years The Salvation Army has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for people in need in Northeast Ohio. The Salvation Army works every day to elevate men, women and children up from despair to provide hope and assistance through programs that work. In teaching life skills, The Salvation Army provides individuals with an opportunity to maximize their physical, emotional and spiritual being to effect permanent change.

Throughout the year, the demand for services is great. While the ultimate goal is to help people change their lives permanently, The Salvation Army services support those in need as they work to improve their lives.
