FEEDING THE NEED FOR THE SALVATION ARMY
Nationwide Insurance Foundation Offers Generous Support

CLEVELAND, OH (April 30, 2012) -- The Salvation Army Canton Corps is pleased to announce that it recently received a $15,000 grant from the Nationwide Insurance Foundation. The grant will help fund the emergency food program which provides food for the hungry through services of hot congregate meals, weekly food pantry, and bagged lunch distribution.

Major Marcus Jugenheimer says “With a grateful heart, we receive this grant which allows us to meet the increased demand for food services in our community. We are blessed by the generous contribution from Nationwide that allows us to keep up with that need.”

“Nationwide is more than a business. We are a proud partner with The Salvation Army and support the important work that they do” says Chad Jester, president of the Nationwide Insurance Foundation.

The Salvation Army Canton Corps served more than 121,000 meals through hunger programs last year. Contributions like that from the Nationwide Foundation along with other support are what make this possible.
