Be A Shield in Medina, Ohio
The Salvation Army needs people to stand up and be shields for our community. The Salvation Army of Medina is currently running its Be A Shield campaign and is always looking for more to be shields for the city of Medina.
Without people being shields for the Salvation Army, our programs could not function. The Salvation Army relies on those who are willing to assist in running our programs and services from serving hot meals to ringing bells for Kettles. Without people like you, the Salvation Army would be unable to properly serve those in need.
Becoming a shield for the Salvation Army of Medina is easy, and free. Being a shield simply means giving up time or money to serve those who need it. Whether it be serving a meal in our M.U.N.C.H. program or helping teach an arts class in our Kids Club program, the Salvation Army is always in need of those willing to be shields for our community. Below are some of the few who are shields for the Salvation Army of Medina.
This upcoming Christmas season, you can be a shield for a family or a child by participating in our Adopt-A-Family or Angel Tree program. Simply call us at (330)-722-6488, or stop in at our building located on 425 W. Liberty St. for more information regarding these programs. Angel Tree tags consist of a child, their age, information regarding clothing size and shoe size, and a list of toys they would like to recieve for Christmas. You are able to take as many or as little tags as you wish, and all you need to do is take the tags home, and bring them back along with any unwrapped gifts you wish for them to recieve. This program would not be able to function like it does without those who are shields and give their money and time to children and families in need.
If you are interested in becoming a shield and are looking for information on how you can volunteer your time, please contact us at (330)-722-6488. We are always looking for more who are willing to be shields for the Salvation Army.
