Every Tuesday at 4:30pm grade schoolers gather at the Lewiston/Auburn Corps of The Salvation Army for Kid's Club. They come full of energy and joy.
After snack time the groups break off into different rooms for crafts, lessons and games. One particular evening the Boys Adventure group was learning about teamwork and playing by the rules. To put their lesson into practice they formed teams to play some half-court basketball. Lt. Jason tried to keep up with the boys and everyone had fun dribbling, passing and shooting the ball.
Some of the young people who attend Kid's Club come from difficult situations at home. The lieutenants and the volunteers take their role seriously to be a positive and Christian influence to all the young people who come into the building on Tuesdays.
Kid's Club is a great program and is changing lives in the twin cities of Lewiston and Auburn Maine.
