Mobile Services Unit

Mobile Service Unit

Introduced in March 2001 to better serve the residents of Northwest Ohio, The Salvation Army Mobile Social Service Unit provides the same services to our community in which they would receive at our main office location. The Unit was started to meet the needs of people who are unable to come into our main office due to barriers such as lack of transportation, disabilities, or child care issues.

Visiting neighborhoods throughout Lucas County the Unit provides assistance with the following:

  •  Emergency Food Assistance
  •  Utility Information & Assistance (when funding is available)
  •  Applications for Christmas Assistance
  •  Information & Referral

For servicers that are not directly provided by The Salvation Army, referrals are made to appropriate community agencies.
