Salvation Army to Provide Thanksgiving to Go Meals to 1,000 Families

One year ago, Bruce Riley and his family were at a loss. It was the time of year when families gather together to celebrate with a hearty Thanksgiving meal; but his family was unable to make Thanksgiving a reality. Until he learned about The Salvation Army's Thanksgiving to Go meal program.

Beginning with its roots in England, The Salvation Army has utilized music and the performing arts to connect with the community and provide spiritual fulfillment and happiness. That tradition continues to this day, as The Salvation Army choir group Chorale 33 joined the Eastern University Choir for a joint concert.


Salvation Army Instructor Strengthens Her Mind, Body and Spirit while Battling Cancer

Megan Donascimento lives for a good challenge. As an indoor cycling instructor at The Salvation Army Kroc Center, her classes have drawn a dedicated following due to her lively personality. Unfortunately, Megan's love for cycling was threatened after she was diagnosed with breast cancer last December.
