Musicians from The Salvation Army South America East Territory to Visit Eastern Pennsylvania

The Salvation Army Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Division is pleased to announce it will be hosting Salvation Army musicians from The Salvation Army South America East Territory during the Palm Sunday Weekend, April 11-13, 2014.

The group will travel with approximately 40 members. In addition to featuring their brass band, they will also form into a singing group, present timbrel displays and have a contemporary music group which all will be featured as part of their varied program.

The group is under the direction of Bandmaster Omar Perez, and will be accompanied by The Salvation Army South America East Territorial Commander, Commissioner Susan McMillan, and Program Secretary, Major Danton Moya.

These amazing musicians will be travelling throughout Eastern Pennsylvania visiting seven of The Salvation Army's Hispanic corps community centers.

Friday evening begins at The Salvation Army Philadelphia Tabernacle Corps Community Center with street ministry and an indoor praise meeting.

The Salvation Army Lancaster Corps Community Center will be the venue for the Saturday Hispanic rally, hosting two services. The Salvation Army Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Division's own Pendel Brass & Singers will join with the South America East group for the day.

On Sunday morning (Palm Sunday) the South America East musicians will divide into groups and travel to The Salvation Army corps community centers in Allentown, Coatesville, Hazleton, and York. The group will join back together at The Salvation Army Reading Corps Community Center for a 7:00 pm praise meeting.

It should be a fantastic weekend of music and worship and all are invited to come out to support this wonderful group.
