Released 11 March 2011
Members of the 2011 CORE class of LEADERSHIP Philadelphia have teamed up with The Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia to build a teen room at The Salvation Army Red Shield Family Residence in North Philadelphia. The teen room will help teenagers visiting the shelter escape the confines of their shelter bedrooms and provide an area where they can spend some time with their peers. The teen room will be a safe haven for the teenagers – a place they can call their own.
The LEADERSHIP Philadelphia team has planned a complete overhaul of the room including new rugs, furniture and a paint job. They will also be raising money to help purchase new equipment for the room including computers, instruments and an entertainment center.
Help the 2011 LEADERSHIP Philadelphia class in their mission to create a teen room at The Salvation Army Red Shield Family Residence by making a donation today. Your gift can help strengthen the lives of individuals in your own community. Any amount helps!
There are many ways to contribute: You can make a secure online donation; or send a check to The Salvation Army Development Department, 701 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123, (make the check payable to The Salvation Army and indicate Teen Room on the memo line). Thank you for your generosity!
