If you are looking for a lovely place to meet and worship God and discover how to live the Christian life while enjoying the company of others like you, then the church at The Salvation Army is the place for you.
Many people attending an Army meeting for the first time find the informal style of worship refreshing and relaxing. There is a cheerful bustle before the service begins as people greet and chat with each other.
We enjoy hymn singing, and sometimes we may be blessed with group or individual musical presentations. The reading of verses from the Bible is always a special pleasure for those in attendance.
While Major Ron Starnes usually leads the meeting and gives the ‘address' (sermon), there may be times when a guest speaker is present. There also may others who are invited to take part by praying, reading aloud verses of hymns or from the Bible, or by talking about their own Christian experience.
Our congregation in Piqua is diverse and chances are, you will find people there who are just like you, and who will be happy to welcome you into our fellowship. Majors Ron and Margaret Starnes will be happy to see you and your family and they encourage you to come and make new friends.
