The Salvation Army 9/11 Healing and Remembrance Family Support Center

The Salvation Army and the 9-11 Healing and Remembrance Program will open a Family Support Center where the 9-11 community (family members, survivors, displaced residents, responders, and 9/11 volunteers from all agencies) can come together to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11/01 This disabilities-accessible Family Support Center will provide a safe, private and welcoming space that will give us an opportunity to honor victims and heroes, as well as promote hope, healing and renewal in our community.

The Family Support Center will provide:

  • A media-free environment
  • A live broadcast of the Ground Zero commemorative ceremony in lower Manhattan
  • A range of supportive services for family members, survivors, displaced residents, responders and 9/11 volunteers
  • On-site mental-health support, child care where needed, and spiritual care

Join us Sunday, September 11, 2011, beginning at 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
