Media Ministries

The Media Ministries Bureau has won various awards for the quality of their work, both nationally and internationally. Centered within the USA Eastern Territorial Headquarters, the bureau continues to provide state-of-the-art production assistance to all eleven divisions, the Adult Rehabilitation Centers Command and other institutions within the northeastern United States.

Audio/visual services provided to the territory include but are not limited to: recording, editing, CD-ROM creation, DVD authoring and duplication, slide/photo resourcing, creation of audio/video inserts and dubbing (copying services) for various media types.

Media Ministries has produced video presentations for special events, promotions, training, fundraising efforts, annual dinners, music events, educational seminars and a variety of other events in support of units across the territory.

Whatever your need, the award-winning experts within the territory’s Media Ministries Bureau stand ready to help you share your experience of The Salvation Army in continued furtherance of its mission. Our primary goal is to share the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ and the work of The Salvation Army.

Anita started working on a part-time basis in Media Ministries in 1991 and soon after became a full-time member of the team. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Arts and Communication from William Paterson College and is now the Director.

Stephen Ditmer, Production Assistant
Stephen Dimter - Production Assistant Stephen Ditmer was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to officer parents Stephen and Carol Ditmer, and has been living on Long Island, New York since 2001. He is a graduate of Long Island University with a Bachelor's degree in fine arts.

Growing up in The Salvation Army, Stephen enjoys playing his cornet with brass bands and is currently a member of the Greater New York Youth Band and Youth Chorus. As a part-time employee of the Media Ministries Bureau, Stephen is awarded the opportunity of spreading the message of Jesus Christ through visual media.

What is the Telly Award? The Telly Award has become one of the most sought after awards in the TV, commercial and video industry. The Telly statuette has even appeared on the set of many TV shows such as "Thirtysomething," "Newhart," and "Murder She Wrote." In the past 21 years, winners have come from agencies, production companies, television stations, and cable operations, as well as corporate video departments. The Telly Awards were founded in 1980 to showcase and give recognition to outstanding non-network and cable TV commercials. Later, the competition was expanded to include film and video productions. In the past 21 years, the Telly awards has become a well-known, highly respected national competition.		What is the Videographer Award? The Videographer Awards is an international awards program directed by communication professionals to honor talented individuals and companies in the video production field. Entrants include video production companies, advertising and public relations firms, corporate communication departments, cable and broadcast television operations, government agencies and schools, independent producers and wedding and special event producers. Past winners have come from all 50 states and numerous countries.
What is the Aurora Gold Award? The Aurora Awards is a international competition designed to recognize excellence in the film and video industries. It specifically targets products, programs and commercials that would not normally have the opportunity to compete on a national level, by focusing on non-national commercials, regional or special interest entertainment and corporate sponsored film and video. Entries have come from across the US, and abroad. such as Russia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Germany, Australia, Mexico, etc.		What is the Aegis Award? Now in its 18th year, the Aegis Awards has established itself as a leading competition for professional video and film makers. The mission of the Aegis Awards competition is to provide a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective video/film productions being produced today.
