ARMY'S BRIDGEPORT CORPS TO HOLD AN OPEN HOUSE
See The Salvation Army in
action!
BRIDGEPORT - The Salvation Army's Bridgeport Corps will hold an Open House
Celebration on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from 4:00PM and 6:00PM, at their
Corps Community Center, located at 30 Elm Street.
Major Lydia Pearson, Bridgeport Corps Officer said, “The Open House
will be an opportunity for friends, neighbors, elected officials, and
volunteers to come and see 'the Army in action.' The Salvation Army has been
located in Bridgeport since 1883. Almost everyone has heard of us, but most
individuals cannot identify any programs or services that The Salvation Army
provides. This will be an opportunity to learn more about The Salvation Army
and a chance to meet the Officers, staff, and volunteers that serve the
Bridgeport community.”
There will be refreshments and music, as well tours of The Salvation Army's
Corps Community Center and Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) canteen - a mobile
food truck. Information about all of The Salvation Army's programs will also be
made available.

there!
