MUSIC, ART AND MORE...
It was raining outside, but the music and art were shining inside. On the last Saturday in September, youth from Salvation Army Corps from Connecticut and Rhode Island participated in music and worship arts at The Citadel Corps Community Center located in Hartford, CT. Each young person chooses a "worship arts class" to participate in. They are given the opportunity to work in drama, sacred dance, timbrels and puppetry. These groups learn how to prepare worship presentations, participate in singing, instrumental music (brass, keyboard, percussion and guitar) and music theory.
The Junior Music & Arts program runs monthly from September until April, with a break in November and December. Friday Nights in Rhode Island and Saturday mornings in Hartford, the youth are given the opportunity to participate in various areas of music and art. Stop by and witness the fun and excitement that this program generates.
