Volunteers come in all shapes and sizes, serve in large cities and small towns, and perform a variety of services to their communities. Christmas volunteers who help out in the holiday stores, at the kettle or serving meals are very important to us. Year-round, The Salvation Army has work to do and cannot do it without an "army" of volunteers.
No matter where you live, volunteer opportunities are available. Call your local Corps Community and Worship Centers, the Rhode Island State Office located in Providence or Divisional Headquarters in Hartford, Connecticut for information on volunteering. Or download our volunteer application at the end of the page.
In the event of disasters, The Salvation Army relies on volunteers to be a part of the team! If you have long or short term interest in this vital ministry, please check our
Emergency Disaster Services page for more information.
